HONEY DEUCE – OFFICIAL COCKTAIL OF THE US OPEN

Happy US Open! It’s officially the first round of the tennis championships and I can’t wait to start watching some great matches.

I have such fond memories of going to the USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center to see the best tennis players in the world compete. From my first match with my Dad when I was in elementary school, to drinking a Honey Deuce in the stands with my boyfriend, to even being a ballperson, the list goes on.

Sometimes I can’t believe I was chosen to be a ballperson for the 2018 US Open – it’s still so surreal. Check out my blog post Running the Sidelines of History: Being a Ballperson at the US Open for all the details.

But back to the Honey Deuce! The Honey Deuce is the official cocktail of the US Open, and it’s delicious! It tastes just like a raspberry lemonade and is perfectly garnished with honeydew melon balls, mimicking tennis balls. It’s a great refresher while watching some matches, and luckily for us, we don’t need to be present at the US Open to enjoy it – we can make it at home! Here’s everything you need to know. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients

1 1/4 oz. GREY GOOSE® vodka

3 oz. fresh lemonade

1/2 oz. Chambord® raspberry liqueur

3 honeydew melon balls, frozen

Instructions

  1. Fill a chilled highball glass with cubed ice and add GREY  GOOSE® vodka.
  2. Top with fresh lemonade and Chambord® raspberry liqueur.
  3. Garnish with skewer of 3 frozen honeydew melon balls.
  4. If the recipe doesn’t fit your glass, double it.

Enjoy!

And please, drink responsibly.
