If you’ve heard the hype about Pink Jeep Tours, it’s real! It was my favorite thing Chris and I did when we visited Sedona, AZ in November 2021.

The information in this post will be based on our experience in Sedona!

BROKEN ARROW/SCENIC RIM COMBO

We toured the Broken Arrow/Scenic Rim Combo which Pink Jeep Tours describes as “the quintessential combination of an exhilarating off-road adventure and spectacular scenery.” In their custom-built, open-air Pink Jeep Wrangler, we climbed Schnebly Hill Road, traveled along Sedona’s famous Broken Arrow trail, made it down the steep “Road of No Return,” and weaved through the Coconino National Forest.

Along the way we saw amazing red rock formations, breathtaking views, Sedona flora, and more. There were also plenty of opportunities to get out of the Jeep and explore and take pictures. Our tour guide was a great photographer for us and shared a lot of knowledge about Sedona and the areas we visited during the ride. Shout out to Preston!

All Pink Jeep tours are rated on a scale from Paved to Rugged terrain, so you know what to expect. The Broken Arrow/Scenic Rim Combo was rated Rugged (“rocky with rough climbs over prolonged periods”), and it was exactly that! We definitely had to hold on tight as the jeep winded down unpaved back roads and hobbled over rocks, ruts, and roots. For us, this is one of the things that made this experience a lot of fun, but if bumpy, jumping out of your seat, is not your thing, this tour is probably not for you.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Expect some red rock dust to fly into the Jeep.
The Pink Jeep Wrangler is open with no windows, so some red rock dust will likely get on your clothes, shoes, phone, backpack, etc. It was easy to wipe off my things with a damp cloth after the tour.
  • Wear comfortable clothes like a t-shirt and leggings.
Depending on the weather, you may want to bring a sweatshirt since the Jeep has no windows!
  • Wear comfortable shoes like sneakers or hiking boots.
There are several stops along the tour where you can get out and explore, some of which include slightly steep climbs.
  • Backpacks are allowed!
There is room on the Jeep to store your belongings.
  • Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc.
Protect yourself from the Sedona sun!

No matter which Pink Adventure tour or location you choose, I’m sure you will have an exciting time! The tour website does a great job of explaining each tour, which should help you make your decision.

HAPPY ADVENTURING!
